Warwick services sit between Junctions 12 and 13 and are not reached from a junction.
Things worth knowing about the numbering
- Junction 1A is the M25 interchange. On the M25 it is Junction 16.
- Junction 8A sits just after the motorway turns north at Junction 8, and is the junction for Oxford services.
- The last junction belongs to the M42. The M40 ends at the M42’s Junction 3A, so that is the number you will see.
- The gaps are uneven. Junctions 13 and 14 are close together at Leamington, while the stretch between Junctions 15 and 16 is one of the longest.
- Some exits work one way only. Southbound, towards London, there is no exit at Junctions 3, 7, 8 or 13. Northbound, towards Birmingham, there is no exit at Junctions 14 or 16.
